Events Specialist

Responsibilities

• The incumbent assists in the overall administration of the Midwest City special events and festivals.
• Conducts meetings with citizen committees and coordinates with city departments to accomplish projects.
• Designs and coordinates projects with various community organizations, including school systems, military contacts, and the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce.
• Understands the importance of brand imaging and public perception of the City mission, purpose, and values.

• High school graduate or equivalent, and Associate’s degree and/or experience in marketing, coordination of community events, and recreation programs required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred.
• Marketing and/or graphic design experience preferred.
• Software skills: intermediate other, Presentation/PowerPoint basic; 10-key, alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet, word processing/typing.
• Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable.
• Must pass clerical, word, excel, power point and publisher tests.
• Position designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, random drug and alcohol screening.

Salary: $21.58 - $22.85 per hour. Benefits included.
