Position: Dental Assistant – Oklahoma City, OK

Dental Assistant - Oklahoma City, OK

A dental practice is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care. The role involves chairside assistance, patient preparation, radiography, infection control, treatment documentation, and assisting with a variety of dental procedures and specialties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist orthodontists during a variety of orthodontic procedures
  • Prepare and set up treatment rooms and equipment
  • Prepare patients for orthodontic treatment
  • Assist with brackets, bands, wires, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances
  • Take dental impressions, digital scans, radiographs, and orthodontic records as directed
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection control procedures
  • Provide patients with instructions regarding oral hygiene, braces, aligners, and appliance care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Coordinate and track orthodontic lab cases and appliances
  • Support efficient patient flow and clinical operations
  • Communicate effectively with patients, orthodontists, and other team members
  • Maintain a positive and professional patient experience
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Dental Assisting program or at least 1 year of Dental Assistant experience
  • Current Dental Assisting Permit
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current X-ray certification required for chairside duties
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and sterilization
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a clinical environment
  • Valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance if required for business-related driving
