Mid-Del Technology Center Instructional Coach

Position SummaryMid-Del Technology Center Instructional Coach supports high-quality Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching and learning by providing instructional coaching, mentoring, and professional development to instructors across all programs. This position focuses on improving curriculum alignment, instructional practices, and student outcomes through data-driven support, industry certification alignment, and evidence-based CTE instructional strategies.
The Instructional Coach also leads onboarding and induction efforts for new CTE instructors and supports the effective integration of instructional technology to strengthen classroom instruction, student engagement, and workforce readiness.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Master's degree and/or School Administration Certification preferred.
- Current Oklahoma Teaching Certificate required, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE)/Career Tech Teaching Certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience required.
- Ability to design and deliver high-quality professional development for educators.
- Proficiency in instructional technology and learning management systems.
- Knowledge of Career Tech instructional standards and best practices.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment practices.
- Effective communication, collaboration, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with instructors, administrators, students, and community partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Collaborate with Mid-Del Technology Center administration and staff to provide instructional coaching, mentoring, classroom support, and research-based CTE instructional strategies that promote high-quality instruction across all programs and campuses.
- Assist instructors in implementing effective instructional practices, initiatives, and expectations that promote student engagement and success.
- Create and implement individualized coaching plans with measurable instructional goals, feedback, and continuous professional growth strategies.
- Support curriculum development, instructional design, course planning, and curriculum revision to ensure alignment with Career Tech standards, industry expectations, academic integration, rigor, and workforce needs.
- Develop instructors’ capacity to collect, analyze, and apply student performance data, certification outcomes, and program metrics to improve instruction and learning outcomes.
- Develop, facilitate, and support new instructor CTE induction programs, including onboarding and compliance with Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education certification and professional development standards.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance related to industry certifications, credential attainment, testing processes, and alignment of certifications with program and workforce needs.
- Deliver training and ongoing support for Canvas and other instructional technology platforms to enhance instruction, assessment, and student engagement.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate professional development opportunities for CTE instructors and staff focused on instructional strategies, curriculum implementation, assessment practices, and instructional technology integration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to compose and write grammatically correct correspondence and memos.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule, or blueprint form.
