Position:
Senior Engineer – Composites (Onsite, U.S. Citizen required)
Summary:
This role supports the F135 Sustainment Program by performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) work on composite engine components at Tinker AFB. The engineer will lead composite investigations, oversee inspections, document findings, and collaborate with the Integrated Product Team and the Joint Program Office of the Air Force, Navy, and Marines.
- Work as the onsite Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Composites Engineer supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions.
- Support an Integrated Product Team for Military Composites overhaul production and participate in projects to implement designs, inspections, and repairs that meet advanced engine‑specific requirements in operational service.
- Interface directly with the customer, the Joint Program Office of the Air Force, Navy, and Marines.
- Conduct inspections and summarize and document findings in accordance with P&W procedures.
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in Engineering with 3+ years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of composite design and analysis technology, as well as manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with non‑destructive testing methods for composites.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Advanced Degree in engineering Design and/or Structures experience preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Onsite – employees will primarily work on site at the Tinker AFB location.
