I’m hiring on behalf of a leading company at the forefront of silicon photonics innovation
, developing next-generation technology for high-performance connectivity and sensing applications.

We’re looking for a highly skilled Photonics Design Engineer with a strong background in high-speed SiPh Modulator design to join a world-class team of engineers. This role is ideal for someone passionate about pushing the boundaries of optoelectronic component performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and simulate advanced silicon photonic components, with a strong emphasis on Modulators
    , as well as detectors, wave guides, and passive/active structures
  • Perform layout, modeling, and design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Collaborate closely with test and packaging teams to validate performance and analyze lab data
  • Optimize performance across PVT (process, voltage, temperature) corners and drive improvements at the system level
Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in silicon photonics design
    , ideally including commercial or research-focused work on high-speed SiP modulators
  • Proficiency in industry-standard simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, Ansys, COMSOL, or similar)
  • Understanding of photonic and RF co-design principles
  • Experience with optical lab characterization and measurement techniques (a plus)
