About the role
The Packaging Equipment Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimization of packaging machinery and systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations. This role works on projects from concept through to implementation and handover. This role collaborates with various functions to deliver innovative solutions that meet both company and industry standards.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment preferably focusing on packaging machinery or related equipment is required.
- Strong leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of packaging industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with automation and robotics in packaging systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to effectively engage in multicultural environments.
- Appetite and curiosity for geo-political topics, technological and supply chain innovation, automation sustainability, digital.
- Global mindset, entrepreneurship mindset, business insight, resilient & assertive.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- MS Office including MS Project and PowerPoint experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and execution is a plus.
