Radiology Director

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Radiology Director to lead the daily operations of our hospital’s imaging department. This position combines hands-on patient care with departmental leadership in a Critical Access Hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities Direct the daily operations of the Radiology Department.

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as needed.

Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate radiology staff.

Ensure imaging services are provided safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Maintain compliance with CMS, state, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Oversee radiation-safety practices and required quality-control activities.

Maintain department policies, procedures, equipment records, and personnel competency documentation.

Coordinate equipment maintenance, inspections, and service.

Monitor departmental supplies, expenses, productivity, and staffing.

Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and outside radiology-reading services.

Participate in hospital quality-improvement, emergency-preparedness, and leadership activities.

Assist with departmental budgeting and planning.

Provide excellent care and service to patients, families, and hospital staff.

Participate in the department’s on-call rotation as required.

Current Oklahoma license or other authorization required to practice.

Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it upon hire.

CT certification or CT experience strongly preferred.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Experience in a hospital or Critical Access Hospital setting preferred.

Knowledge of radiology operations, radiation safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Ability to perform imaging procedures and assist with patient transfers and positioning.
