Part Time Computer Technician - Midwest

Overview

The City of Midwest City is seeking a Part Time Computer Technician in the IT Department. The incumbent provides computer system support including hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and repair. The technician handles IT work requests and may be assigned to projects or project teams. A high school diploma with A+ certification or equivalent experience is required. A technical associate’s or bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.

This position is safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening. Salary starting at $16.63/hr no benefits.

• Provide computer hardware and software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Respond to IT work requests submitted through the work request system and assist city employees as needed.
• Assist with projects or participate on a project team as assigned.

• High school diploma and A+ certification or equivalent experience
• Basic software skills: 10-Key, alphanumeric data entry, PowerPoint, Excel, Word processing
• Valid Oklahoma driver license and insurable
• Technical associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field preferred
• Extremely technical position requiring prior experience
