Manual Machinist

Description

J-S Machine and Valve Inc. is seeking a Manual Machinist for our Nowata, OK location. The ideal candidate should possess at least 3-5 years of machining experience.

The pay range is $25 USD to $30 USD per hour. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

• 3-5 years of manual machining experience
• Familiarity with interpreting blueprints
• Knowledge of HSE procedures and machining principles
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment
• Skills in various machining operations

• Climate-controlled shop with safety gear provided
• On-the-job training and mentorship
• Tuition and certification reimbursement

• Fabricate parts from blueprints using various materials
• Use precision measuring tools
• Inspect machinery and adjust as needed
• Operate transportation machinery
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Train apprentice machinists
• Distribute work and manage the department in the absence of the supervisor

• Adequate English language skills
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Background check and drug screening required
• Minimum two-year background in manual machining
• Proficiency in various machining tools
• Leadership capacity or experience
• History of safety compliance

• Machining shop environment with moderate noise
• Use of specified safety gear
• Potential for overtime
