The Clinical Supervisor assures delivery of safe, high-quality and cost-effective care provided by competent co-workers. They ensure efficient utilization of available resources to meet productivity and financial goals. The Clinical Supervisor works collaboratively and effectively with other administrative personnel, physicians and co-workers to communicate and improve processes across the continuum. Clinical Supervisor ensures units are appropriately staffed to provide patient care.
They are proactively involved in patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office. The Clinical Supervisor is a leader who inspires a shared vision, demonstrates the value of change and presents it with enthusiasm. They model professionalism, a positive attitude, and engage co-workers to become leaders of change. The Supervisor challenges current processes, provides mentorship and guidance to direct care staff, and encourages the heart of co-workers by providing both public and private recognition.
They hold direct and indirect care providers accountable for professional responsibilities and adherence to policy and regulatory guidelines. The Supervisor performs duties and responsibilities consistently with the Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards, and participates in the evaluation process in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
- Education:
Graduate from an accredited Nursing program. - Licensure:
Current RN license with the Board of Nursing in the applicable State of practice. - Experience:
3-5 years of hospital nursing experience. - Certification/Registration:
Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probation period. TNCC, ACLS and ENPC or PALS. - Skills, knowledge and abilities:
Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication (written, verbal, electronic). Demonstrates clinical competence in patient care delivery. Possesses the ability to assess data and assist personnel in providing appropriate levels of care.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Sign on bonus for full‑time RNs with more than 1 year of RN experience, paid out over 2 years.

- Shift differential $3.25 evenings/$4.00 nights/$4.00 weekends.
