Occupational Health Nurse (RN or LPN)
Full-time, ongoing contract opportunity with Yoh’s manufacturing client located in Lincoln, NE
.
Clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees. Small clinic typically works alongside one other nurse. The position focuses on protection from occupational and environmental hazards, illness and injury prevention, and health promotion.
ScheduleShifts:
Monday‑Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (flexibility needed for earlier start time, as‑needed).
- Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Nebraska
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a nurse
- Previous experience in occupational/employee health, emergency medicine, urgent care, corrections, primary care, or family practice type setting
- Confident with technology (Cority experience a plus) and working independently
- Triage and provide nursing services or arrange for higher level of care to employees who become ill or suffer a workplace injury
- Management of clinic supplies and equipment
- Provide medical testing: perform phlebotomy, drug testing, pulmonary function tests, EKGs, biometric screenings (e.g., glucose monitoring and cholesterol screening)
- Ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye, etc. and providing OTC medications
- Provide support and case management for both work‑related and non‑work‑related conditions to reduce illness and absenteeism (return‑to‑work, fitness‑for‑duty)
- Travel health consultation, health coaching, and health education
- Immunizations/injections
- Respond to medical emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care as needed (assist First Responders)
- Current BLS certification
- Prior knowledge of occupational health and workers’ compensation services
- Computer skills with prior experience using EMR (experience with Cority a plus)
