Charge Nurse - Med​/Surg - Night Shift

Role Overview: Provides leadership and coordination of nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and achievement of clinical objectives.



Key Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff during shifts, including performance evaluations.
• Assesses patient care needs and develops appropriate care assignments to deliver population-specific care.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Evaluates patient care effectiveness, identifies issues impacting outcomes, and responds to care complaints.
• Contributes to hiring, training, developing, and evaluating staff as needed.
• Ensures safety and maintains alertness during all duties.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year registered nurse experience.
• Current RN license, valid in a compact state or Oklahoma.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
• Strong communication, assessment, and teamwork skills.

• Constant speech, standing, walking, and visual acuity.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, reaching, and data entry.
• Occasional patient handling and movement of objects up to 50 lbs.
• Requisite physical agility, including bending, kneeling, and occasional driving.
