Job Purpose or Objective(s): As a Security Corporal, you will protect all property of Choctaw Casinos and ensure procedures are followed as applicable. You will report to the Security Manager.
Primary Tasks:
- You will access and retrieve computerized data.
- Help with emergency situations.
- Patrol internal and external company property.
- You will have knowledge of company regulations and procedures.
- Maintain a logbook of all activity occurring daily.
- Write incident reports regarding all security issues, accidents, theft, or vandalism and submit to the Security Supervisor.
- Help with supervising subordinate personnel.
- Involve in customer and employee related issues due to an impending or obvious threat and volatile situation.
- Can handle security issues courteously, effectively, and discreetly.
- Operate firefighting equipment and short‑wave radio and administer CPR and first aid.
- Refer dangerous situations or complex problems to supervisor.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must be medically fit and able to perform all of the essential functions of a Security Officer and pass a physical fitness test.
- Must have a valid state driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills for report writing, composition or correspondence, Internet use, and email.
- Be able to reason and react calmly and quickly in emergency and life‑threatening situations.
- Qualify yearly with department firearms.
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in high‑stress and conflict situations.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make logical decisions.
- 6 months of prior experience as a Security Officer.
