Field Service Tech I - Street

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for a Field Services Tech I in the Street Department. The incumbent operates equipment such as trucks, tractors, and mowers, and uses a variety of power and hand tools to maintain city streets, culverts, right‑of‑way, storm sewers, and other public property.
This is an entry‑level position where the incumbent trains to test for and obtain an Oklahoma Commercial Class “B” license with Air Brakes endorsement. Upon receipt of this license, the incumbent is eligible to reclass to a Street Equipment Operator I.
Qualifications:
high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Previous experience with street and mowing equipment, including tractor, mower, and backhoe, is desired. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable. Must be at least 18 years old.
The position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre‑employment, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol screening. Starting salary: $18.15 per hour plus benefits.
