Job Summary

Join a global manufacturing leader and take ownership of environmental compliance, EPA/Ohio EPA reporting, sustainability initiatives, capital projects, and emissions reduction efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the site efforts toward achieving company Energy and Emissions Objectives (2030 Goals)
  • Manage assigned environmental and sustainability projects
  • Develop capital cost, design and installation plans for new environmental equipment
  • Recommend equipment replacement to improve operations and reduce costs
  • Secure required permits from governmental agencies for new equipment installations
  • Implement approved capital programs within budget and schedule plans
  • Participate in equipment safety inspections
  • Provide support to maintenance & plant operations as needed
  • Manage the site Title V Air Permit Liaison with corporate EHS management
  • Monitor Federal, State, and Local standards and regulations; recommend new programs and elements
  • Ensure effective communication of environmental, health, and safety matters to employees and respond to concerns
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to continually improve the facility’s environmental program
Qualifications
  • BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related engineering field
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in environmental tasks within manufacturing or consulting settings
  • Experience reporting necessary environmental information to regulatory agencies including the EPA and Ohio EPA regulations
  • Experience performing inspections in an industrial environment
  • Experience managing environmental licenses, permits, and reporting (Air Quality Permit – Title V, Industrial Storm Water Permit, SPCC Plan)
  • Ability to design experiments and provide statistical analysis of those trials
  • Ability to diagnose and prioritize opportunities in areas of savings, throughput improvement, and yield improvement
  • Experience leading a team of employees to implement improvement or new procedures
  • Experience presenting or communicating with small groups of hourly employees for training or other purposes
  • Knowledge of operational excellence principles such as 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Six Sigma Green Belt, and TPM
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment and solve practical problems
  • CAD or AutoCAD skills and/or working knowledge of process engineering software preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
