Job Summary
Join a global manufacturing leader and take ownership of environmental compliance, EPA/Ohio EPA reporting, sustainability initiatives, capital projects, and emissions reduction efforts.
Responsibilities- Lead the site efforts toward achieving company Energy and Emissions Objectives (2030 Goals)
- Manage assigned environmental and sustainability projects
- Develop capital cost, design and installation plans for new environmental equipment
- Recommend equipment replacement to improve operations and reduce costs
- Secure required permits from governmental agencies for new equipment installations
- Implement approved capital programs within budget and schedule plans
- Participate in equipment safety inspections
- Provide support to maintenance & plant operations as needed
- Manage the site Title V Air Permit Liaison with corporate EHS management
- Monitor Federal, State, and Local standards and regulations; recommend new programs and elements
- Ensure effective communication of environmental, health, and safety matters to employees and respond to concerns
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to continually improve the facility’s environmental program
- BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related engineering field
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in environmental tasks within manufacturing or consulting settings
- Experience reporting necessary environmental information to regulatory agencies including the EPA and Ohio EPA regulations
- Experience performing inspections in an industrial environment
- Experience managing environmental licenses, permits, and reporting (Air Quality Permit – Title V, Industrial Storm Water Permit, SPCC Plan)
- Ability to design experiments and provide statistical analysis of those trials
- Ability to diagnose and prioritize opportunities in areas of savings, throughput improvement, and yield improvement
- Experience leading a team of employees to implement improvement or new procedures
- Experience presenting or communicating with small groups of hourly employees for training or other purposes
- Knowledge of operational excellence principles such as 5S, SMED, Kaizen, Six Sigma Green Belt, and TPM
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment and solve practical problems
- CAD or AutoCAD skills and/or working knowledge of process engineering software preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
