This operator position is part of the Pay for Skills program and is part of skills progression. The employee must complete the requirements for Operator 1. The base hourly rate for this position is $25.00.

• Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies.
• Relieve other employees as directed.
• Maintain communication to ensure quality product is being made.
• Maintain daily housekeeping requirements.
• Follow JSA/SOPs.
• Wear proper clothing and PPE as required.
• Complete all training and meetings.
• Use all appropriate checks and checklists.
• Complete production reporting.
• Other duties may vary depending on the position assignment; check with your supervisor for details.

• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, work instruction and finished product specifications.
• Have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages).
• Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
• Use of hands (repetitive motion, grabbing, feeling, sensing, pulling).
• Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful work environment.
• Ability to work safely in an often‑dusty environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
• Ability to withstand the rigors of a 12‑hour (or 8‑hour) rotating shift schedule.
• Ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
• Ability to reach or work above the shoulder.
