Position
Avionics Technician (Weekend Crew) – Moline, IL
Elliott Aviation, a leader in aircraft solutions, offers an exciting opportunity for an Avionics Technician to support our weekend crew on the ground at their Moline, IL facility. The role focuses on ensuring aircraft systems remain reliable, safe, and performance‑optimal.
Working HoursWeekend Position:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 9 am – 10 pm.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair all avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft.
- Complete installations, modifications, and upgrades of avionics components and wiring using approved data.
- Interpret and apply technical manuals, wiring diagrams, engineering orders, and service bulletins to ensure compliance with all regulatory and repair‑station requirements.
- Document all maintenance actions clearly and accurately, including test results, corrective actions, and traceability of all parts used.
- Communicate with department manager or crew chief on any problems or repairs.
- Ensure all work performed is within the scope of the project and inspected by an authorized repair‑station inspector.
- Learn, understand, and follow the company work‑order and parts requisition process as written.
- Maintain the security, calibration, and proper use of tools, equipment, and test devices in accordance with repair‑station requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of related avionics installation experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.
- Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs require.
- Willingness to work on a team with experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor.
- Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manuals.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work.
- Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft avionics and airframe systems.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145.
- Experience repairing the following aircraft systems: autopilots, flight management systems, navigation and communications systems, EFIS, aircraft electrical systems, lighting, pitot and static systems.
- Bench repair capabilities preferred.
- A&P License/FCC License a plus.

The base hourly range for this role is $22.00‑$44.00 USD. Compensation will be determined by minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, and location.
