Purpose:

An opportunity has arisen for a  Price Engineer/Pricing Data Analyst EMEA – Steel,  based in Milano (Italy), responsible for building, maintaining and improving the analytical foundation of pricing decisions across Steel in the region EMEA.

The role connects product cost, plant cost, transport cost, VCC, TMC, RSP, historical selling prices, customer/product profitability and market feedback into reliable models and tools. The objective is to support disciplined pricing, margin protection, profitable growth and faster commercial decision‑making.

This role is execution‑driven and data‑driven. It does not replace commercial ownership of customers but provides the pricing intelligence and analytical discipline required for better commercial decisions.

You will join the Commercial Excellence & Customer Experience Steel Team for the region EMEA, reporting to the Commercial Excellence & Customer Experience Director Steel EMEA.

Key Accountabilities/

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain the commercial cost model used to support RSP, offer pricing, price approvals and margin analysis

Support RSP governance and price list maintenance by ensuring data accuracy, consistency and usability

Provide structured profitability analysis to support pricing decisions and commercial reviews

Act as the pricing‑data expert in the development and improvement of digital commercial tools

Develop and maintain recurring pricing and profitability views for management and commercial teams

Work across functions to ensure pricing input is reliable and commercially relevant

Monthly price and margin analysis pack and Quarterly RSP tuning support

Regular cost update and price list support

Offer profitability support for strategic or high‑risk quotations

Pricing dashboard maintenance and improvement

Pricing exceptions and margin leakage tracking

Support in pricing automation and AI price agent development

Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics or equivalent technical/commercial background

2-5 years of experience in commercial pricing, cost analysis, commercial controlling, sales operations, industrial finance, business analysis or technical‑commercial roles

Experience in industrial B2B manufacturing is preferred but not a must have

Engineering background is an advantage due to the need to understand product cost drivers and industrial processes

Good understanding of cost structures, margin calculation and profitability analysis

Strong business judgment: able to distinguish relevant analysis from low‑value reporting

Ability to translate business requirements into clear tools and data specifications

Strong Excel and analytical modelling skills, ability to work with large datasets and identify inconsistencies

Experience with ERP, SAP, Power BI, Excel‑based models or pricing tools is preferred
