EBay Associate Category Manager

Position: eBay Live Associate Category Manager
Overview  As an Associate Category Manager for eBay Live, you will help grow key Collectibles verticals within our live shopping platform. You’ll work at the intersection of category management, seller engagement, content programming, and business analytics to deliver compelling live shopping experiences and accelerate category growth. You’ll partner with cross‑functional teams to optimize events, calendars, and promotional activities, using data to improve performance.

This role offers hands‑on exposure to live commerce at scale and the chance to influence seller success and buyer engagement.
Responsibilities   Own day‑to‑day management and performance of assigned categories
Identify category trends, market opportunities, and competitive insights to inform planning
Partner with Programming teams to optimize category calendars, events, and tentpole activities
Collaborate with sellers to boost event performance, consistency, and engagement
Monitor and report on category benchmarks (GMV, seller efficiency, buyer engagement, retention, growth) and translate insights into actions
Work with Business Development to identify and recruit new sellers and brands
Qualifications   Minimum of 3 years in Category Management, Account Management, E‑commerce, Marketplace Operations, or similar roles
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and derive actions
Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, Google Sheets, or equivalent tools
Comfort with fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments
Enthusiasm for Collectibles categories (Comics, Action Figures, Lego, Diecast, Coins, Sports Memorabilia)

Languages:

English and Italian
Willingness to occasionally work weekends and travel
