Euronext Clearing- Head of Model Validation

Experteer Overview In this role you lead the independent validation of risk models used to measure market, credit and liquidity risk for Euronext Clearing. You will manage a validation team across Rome (or Milan) and collaborate with model designers, regulators and management to ensure robust, timely analyses. You drive improvement in data, backtesting and stress testing, contributing to safe, efficient clearing operations.

Retribuzione / Benefits Manage independent validation of risk models for market, credit and liquidity risk with emphasis on quality and timeliness

Analyze significant model changes using a standardized approach and issue actionable recommendations

Develop and analyze sensitivity analyses, backtesting and stress testing

Validate input data and implement process improvements for data analysis and reporting

Liaise with regulators on model validation topics

Facilitate collaboration with model designers and developers

Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders

Draft technical specifications for credit and counter party risk (Basel III) after launching new products

ResponsabilitàMaster’s degree in quantitative finance, engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics or equivalent

Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments, pricing and risk indicators7-10 years’ experience in banking or financial services, including roles with regulators or consultancy firms

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Matlab, Python, SQL, Julia or C++Demonstrated experience in managing teams

Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem‑solving attitude

Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Ability to motivate and support team members in achieving objectives

Excellent communication skills and outcome‑oriented approach

Knowledge of information providers such as Bloomberg and Reuters Requisiti fondamentali
