Business Banking Financial Controller

Position: Business Banking Financial Performance Controller
Experteer Overview  In this role you will own end-to-end financial management for the Business Banking division, enabling informed decision-making and ensuring financial discipline. You will partner with Finance and Procurement to drive profitability, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses that support strategic growth. You’ll translate complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders and help shape new initiatives and investments. This is an opportunity to impact long-term profitability within a dynamic, cross-functional team.
Responsibilities   Monitor and interpret income and cost performance of the Business Banking portfolio
Provide insights on revenue streams, pricing, margins and profitability drivers
Lead monthly/quarterly performance reviews identifying trends, risks and opportunities
Support Head of Business Banking with forward-looking financial analysis and strategic decision support
Lead budgets, forecasts and business plans aligned with guidelines
Develop scenario analyses and business cases for initiatives, products and investments
Ensure robust financial modelling with clear assumptions aligned to strategic priorities
Collaborate with Finance Business Advice to ensure consistent methodologies and reporting
Coordinate with Procurement to evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate costs and optimize spending
Support cross-functional project teams on financial evaluation and reporting
Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and regulatory standards
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting frameworks
Qualifications   Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
Typically 4–7 years in financial controlling, business partnering, or FP&A in banking/financial services
Strong financial modelling and data interpretation skills
Understanding of income dynamics, cost drivers, procurement, and business case development
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
