Senior Front Office IT Developer & Quantitative Analyst

The role encompasses the development and enhancement of Front Office platforms, as well as providing quantitative and analytical expertise to support trading strategies, risk management, and decision-making across the equity derivatives and proprietary trading domains. The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering capabilities with the ability to apply quantitative analysis, mathematical modelling, and technology to optimise trading and investment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver consistently high-quality code in line with team standards and industry best practices, and maintain Front Office applications
Partner with multiple stakeholders to ensure business-critical objectives are met efficiently and within agreed timelines, providing operational and technological support to traders
Support the design and implementation of quantitative trading strategies
Resolve complex, high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, and drive the automation of operational and business workflows
Integrate and optimise Front Office applications and data infrastructure
Perform data analysis to support trading and business activities
Collaborate with IT, Risk Management, Operations, and other bank functions to ensure seamless cross-functional delivery
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a banking or comparable financial services environment
Strong proficiency in the following programming languages:
Python, Java, C++, SQL, VBA
Knowledge of trading platforms and applications, particularly ORC and Tbricks
Solid understanding of Front Office processes, workflows, and market dynamics
Strong problem-solving aptitude with a business-oriented mindset
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with both Front Office and IT teams
Proactive and results-driven attitude
Hybrid working model
The expected range salary (RAL) for this position is 100.000 – 130.000 per year.
