What it's about
In this position, you will join the Partners Group Real Estate Private Equity team in Milan, with responsibilities across all aspects of real estate investments, including investment underwriting, due diligence and transaction execution, ongoing asset management and divestitures. Your primary focus will be on Partners Group’s Southern European exposure in Spain, Italy and Portugal and you will report to Partners Group’s Head of Southern Europe.
Financial modeling of business plans, cash flows, debt structures, underlying drivers and resulting investment returns
Supporting sourcing and fundraising activities, taking responsibility early on as part of a dynamic European Team
In depth analysis of investment opportunities across real estate assets, portfolios, and companies in a variety of sectors across different geographies
Performing and selectively leading due diligence work streams on prospective investments (e.g. financial, commercial, tax, technical etc.)
Drafting investment recommendation documents
Conducting various other tasks related to reporting, monitoring, market research, internal requests and marketing efforts with current and potential investors
What we expect
Enthusiasm, passion for real estate and high energy level; ambition to make an impact across our Southern European portfolio, mainly comprised of residential, student housing, hospitality and logistics exposure
Top academic credentials from a leading university
2‑4 years of work experience in private equity, M&A or strategy consulting
Prior work experience in real estate private equity or investment banking
Excellent financial modeling, analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
Substantial prior experience in financial modeling and in drafting investment proposals
Superior organizational competence (planning, scheduling, coordinating and time management)
Excellent teamwork skills within international settings
Excellent language skills – proficiency in English, Italian and ideally Spanish
A strong desire to learn and succeed, along with an impeccable work ethic and a professional demeanor
