Investment Associate | International Mid-Cap Private Equity Fund About the Opportunity Our client is an international private equity fund with a well-established presence across Europe and a strong track record of investing in mid-market businesses. The firm partners with management teams and entrepreneurs to drive transformational growth, operational improvement and long-term value creation. As part of the continued expansion of its Milan-based investment team, the fund is seeking an outstanding Investment Associate to support all aspects of the investment process.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will work alongside senior investment professionals across the entire deal lifecycle, including:
Identification and evaluation of new investment opportunities
Financial analysis, valuation and LBO modelling
Industry research and commercial assessment
Coordination of due diligence work streams with external advisors
Preparation of Investment Committee materials and investment recommendations
Participation in transaction structuring, negotiation and execution
Debt financing analysis and interaction with lending institutions
Portfolio company monitoring and value creation initiatives
Interaction with management teams, advisors and other transaction stakeholders
Candidate Profile Professional Experience Between 3 and 5 years of total professional experience
At least 2.5 years of direct Private Equity investing experience, gained within a reputable investment fund
Previous experience gained in:
Investment Banking (M&A)
Corporate Finance Advisory
Top-tier Strategy Consulting (preferably MBB)

Strong exposure to live transactions and investment processes
Solid understanding of valuation methodologies, financial modelling and LBO analysis

Experience with in buyout-oriented investment environments is highly preferred
Academic Background Outstanding academic credentials are mandatory
Bachelor's and Master's degree from a leading university
Excellent academic performance throughout the educational path
International academic exposure is considered a plus
