Fitch Ratings is currently seeking a Analyst/ Senior Analyst for the Financial Institutions team covering Italian banks based out of our Milan office. About the Team The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) has built Fitch Ratings into a global leader in bank credit ratings coverage. The team provides transparent, timely and comprehensive analysis of major institutions across the region, combining strong sector expertise with a collaborative and internationally connected working environment. How You'll Make an Impact:

Monitor and maintain a portfolio of bank issuer ratings, including preparing rating committee materials and supporting rating decisions.

Perform detailed financial and credit analysis of Italian banks and other European financial institutions, including maintaining analytical tools, financial models and peer comparisons.

Write and publish high-quality rating reports, research and market commentary that support transparency in capital markets.

Participate in rating committees, contribute analytical opinions and engage directly with issuers' senior management through regular meetings.

Support broader team initiatives by contributing to sector research, country analyses, peer benchmarking and ad hoc analytical projects.

You May Be a Good Fit If:

You have approximately 2-5 years of analytical experience in credit analysis, banking, audit, financial institutions, regulation, investment banking, asset management, ratings, or a related field.

You possess strong financial statement analysis skills and are proficient in Excel.

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Italian (native level) and English.

You hold a university degree and have the ability to manage multiple priorities while working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

What Would Make You Stand Out:

Experience analysing banks and an understanding of banking regulation.

A professional qualification such as CFA or progress toward one.

Knowledge of an additional European language such as French, German or Spanish.
