Overview

vivo is looking for a Financial Business Partner to support the financial management and commercial decision-making of our Italian subsidiary in Milan. This role will act as the key finance interface between the local business and our China headquarters, ensuring that business plans, financial reporting, and operational decisions are aligned with both group requirements and Italian regulatory standards.
The role covers budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial analysis, commercial project evaluation, working-capital management, internal controls, and management reporting. You will work closely with local sales, supply chain, procurement, operations, HR, external accounting firms, banks, and other stakeholders to improve financial performance and support sustainable business growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong FP&A and financial controlling expertise with sound commercial judgement and an understanding of Italian finance, accounting, and tax requirements. You should be comfortable translating complex financial information into clear business recommendations and operating effectively across Chinese and European working cultures.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working close to the business, improving financial processes, using data to influence decisions, and serving as a trusted financial partner to both local management and China headquarters.

Job Responsibilities:

Generate monthly management reports for the Italian subsidiary, keeping both China headquarters and local management aligned.
2. Commercial Financial Support & Project Evaluation
Provide end-to-end financial support to local business lines; build profitability models for new projects, new clients, and channel expansion.
Participate in financial reviews for key sales and procurement contracts, evaluating credit terms, pricing, tax implications, and VAT risks.
Perform ROI analysis on new product launches, promotions, and key account projects to guide commercial decision-making.
3. Group–Local Financial Alignment & Reporting
Align local operations with China headquarters' financial policies while ensuring full local Italian compliance.
Prepare management reports and submit KPIs according to group standards.
Coordinate with external local accounting firms to bridge gaps between Italian GAAP (OIC) and IFRS; support month-end and year-end closures as well as group consolidation data provision.
Cooperate with internal and external audit procedures.

Identify operational financial risks and implement internal control processes.
Assist in managing local tax compliance (including VAT, corporate income tax, etc.), prepare documentation for tax inquiries/audits, and monitor risks related to intercompany transactions and transfer pricing.
