Sales Development Representative (SDR)
The Opportunity
Open Text has developed global Centres of Excellence for Sales Development to support best‑in‑class cloud software technology and solutions. You will be joining a social, high‑performing team required to collaborate with peers to effectively attract and qualify prospects evaluating the purchase of Open Text solutions. The successful incumbent will be comfortable with cold calling, cold emailing and engaging via social media and video.
It is important that you have a strong understanding of B2B lead generation and business development.

Responsibilities
Partner with Client Executives to develop a territory strategy, discover, nurture and qualify pipeline, and convert leads to sales‑qualified opportunities and revenue.
Work with Sales and Solution Consultant teams to support opportunities through the sales pipeline funnel.
Support outbound activity including cold calling, emailing and social outreach into target accounts.
Work alongside Account Executives to engage prospective customers and introduce Open Text solutions.
Follow up and qualify inbound leads generated through campaigns and marketing activity.
Build understanding of customer needs and pass qualified opportunities to Account Executives.
Support early‑stage opportunities in partnership with Account Executives and Solution Consultants.
Maintain engagement with prospects and help move opportunities through initial stages.
Build customer relationships through consistent outreach activity across phone, email and social channels.
Identify contacts and maintain accurate data using Salesforce and research tools.
Track and manage all lead generation activity within Salesforce and Outreach using approved tools and processes; provide regular updates on activity and pipeline contribution.
Qualify leads using defined criteria and aligned prospecting processes.
Success in this position is measured by qualified pipeline creation, pipeline acceleration and revenue, with activity‑based metrics in place to achieve this outcome.
