We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative (early career) within our Laboratory Service Sales department to cover the Italian market.

This role is well suited to professionals at an early stage of their commercial career who are looking to build long term expertise in inside sales, customer engagement, and service based selling within a global life science organization.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the Services EMEA Inside Sales team, the desired candidate will:

Meet sales objectives by driving remote sales activities (inbound and outbound calls, emails, chats, virtual meetings) with both existing customers and new prospects

Develop and maintain effective customer relationships with procurement, laboratory managers, and end users, identifying needs and positioning Agilent’s laboratory services portfolio

Identify and generate new business opportunities within an assigned territory to grow the existing customer base

Collaborate proactively with field service engineers and internal sales teams to deliver a differentiated and consistent customer experience

Prepare and manage service quotations, ensuring accuracy, follow up, and clear value communication

Maintain an up to date CRM pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts

Gradually develop inside sales capabilities such as prospecting, objection handling, and commercial negotiation, with the support of the team

Location & Working Model
This position is based in the Greater Milan area, operating under a hybrid working model, with regular collaboration at the Cernusco sul Naviglio site.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following:

1–3 years of experience in a commercial, customer facing, or inside sales environment

(including graduate roles, commercial internships, pre sales, customer success, or hybrid technical commercial positions)

Ability to communicate confidently with laboratory based customers (scientists, lab managers, procurement), gained through education or early professional experience in life sciences, diagnostics, pharma, chemical, or laboratory environments

Native level Italian and strong professional English

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with multiple internal and external partners

Good time management and organizational skills, with experience working through digital inside sales tools (phone, email, chat, virtual meetings, CRM)

Demonstrated interest in building a career in inside sales, rather than field sales alone

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline is considered a plus but is not essential.

Personal Attributes
On a personal level, you are:

Customer focused and motivated by delivering value and building long term relationships

Comfortable working in a structured, target driven environment, with clear objectives and follow up

Curious, coachable, and open to feedback and learning

A collaborative team member who can work autonomously while contributing positively to a wider team

Adaptable and motivated to work in a fast paced, international environment

We Offer

Competitive compensation and benefits package (yearly company bonus, pension scheme, medical & life insurance…)

Exciting and inspiring projects in a dynamic collaborative team

A working environment with a multitude of possibilities for professional training and career development in an international company

Work-Life-Balance is encouraged

Training on the job in a motivated, dynamic team

Permanent contract in a fast-growing global company
