About the Role
ERM is strengthening its Nature & Biodiversity capability across EMEA to meet growing client demand and maintain delivery excellence. We are looking for a  Managing Consultant  with strong technical expertise in biodiversity offsetting, ecological restoration, and nature‑positive site implementation to support strategic client projects across Southern Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape nature-positive outcomes for leading international organizations, contribute to ERM’s growing Nature practice, and deliver high‑impact work aligned with TNFD, SBTN, and global nature frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery

Support the implementation of  TNFD/SBTN-aligned nature strategies  for global clients.

Deliver biodiversity offsetting plans, ecological restoration programs, and nature-positive site interventions.

Conduct ecological assessments, habitat evaluations, and on‑the‑ground restoration activities.

Ensure high-quality, consistent technical outputs aligned with ERM standards and client expectations.

Technical Expertise

Develop and implement  Biodiversity Management Plans (BMPs) .

Apply  Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)  principles and ensure alignment with leading nature-positive frameworks.

Provide technical assurance on biodiversity management approaches and site-level interventions.

Bring innovative, science-based methodologies and tools to project teams.

Collaboration & Knowledge Building

Work closely with the  EMEA Nature & Water Lead  and cross-regional teams to harmonize delivery approaches.

Share insights, methodologies, and best practices to help scale ERM’s nature-related capability across the region.

Contribute to internal training, guidance materials, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

About You – Qualifications & Experience

Required:

Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in biodiversity offsetting, ecological restoration, and nature-positive site implementation.

Strong understanding of:
Biodiversity Management Plans (BMPs) Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) principles Nature Positive implementation at site level

Familiarity with  TNFD, SBTN , and EU biodiversity policies/regulations.

Demonstrated technical delivery experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills in a consulting environment.

Desirable:

Experience working with multinational clients or complex industrial sites.

Exposure to nature-related risk assessments or geospatial biodiversity tools.

Additional languages spoken across Southern Europe.
