About the Role
The Customer Service Professional will be the first point of contact for our business‑to‑business customers at our manufacturing facility in Milan, Tennessee. This on‑site role involves delivering exceptional service, resolving inquiries, and maintaining high customer satisfaction to support our growth.
Responsibilities- Answer and respond to incoming calls regarding pricing, scheduling, delays, and technical inquiries.
- Provide general and technical information requested by customers.
- Manage after‑sales orders, including returns, short schedules, and complaints.
- Respond to written inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Resolve customer complaints and concerns professionally.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to team goals.
- Actively participate in creating a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
- Assure compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate governance policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Some travel may be required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, building materials, or commercial construction is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow‑up skills.
- Proficiency with common computer applications.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
- Self‑motivated and able to prioritize multiple time‑sensitive tasks.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of competitive and industry documents.
