Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in the efficient operation of the returns distribution center. The position involves receiving, storing, and shipping returned products accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring the warehouse operates with precision. This role requires a strong focus on safety, productivity, and attention to detail.
Job Duties- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, containers, or pallets.
- Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report to the supervisor.
- Verify shipment accuracy by checking packing slips and inputting data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize returned products in assigned warehouse locations.
- Track inventory using WMS, ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Assist in regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Accurately pick products for outgoing shipments based on order details.
- Pack items securely for shipping, ensuring the correct packaging materials are used.
- Prepare and label shipments for delivery.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks or containers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure correct quantities and products are being shipped.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other warehouse associates and departments to meet daily targets.
- Participate in team meetings and suggest improvements to warehouse processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Great Attendance.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) or willingness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use warehouse management systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- The position is based in a warehouse environment, requiring standing for long periods and handling materials in varying temperatures.
- Safety equipment (e.g., steel-toe boots, gloves) may be required.
Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (may require weekend or overtime hours during busy seasons)
