Sign-on bonus potential: up to $10,000
Compensation: $37.15-$57.58 per hour, experience based
Program SummarySinai Hospital's Float Pool is a dedicated supplemental staffing pool that provides registered nurses with the opportunity to rotate through multiple units and specialties while receiving competitive pay, shift differentials, and sign-on bonuses. Nurses in this pool support units such as pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, neonatal intensive care, telemetry, and critical care.
Job SummaryAs a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care across pediatric, PICU, NICU, telemetry, and critical care units.
- Participate in shift coverage, including day and night rotations, and meet weekend and holiday requirements.
- Follow hospital protocols and maintain documentation and hand-offs accurately.
- Support unit staffing needs and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Telemetry experience required.
- Pediatrics, PICU, or NICU experience required.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience.
- RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
- Pediatric Float Roles
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Stable within 6 months of hire.
- Chemo/biotherapy provider course within 6 months of hire.
- Preferred:
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Critical Care RN (CCRN) - pediatric or neonatal.
- Critical Care Float Roles
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Trauma Certification within 6 months of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 6 months of hire.
- Staff will follow a 6-week schedule and a weekend obligation of 4 shifts, 3 major holidays, and 2 difficult-to-staff days per year.
