Insight Global is seeking a Quality Control Manager for a leading precision manufacturing company supporting the aerospace, defense, medical, and commercial industries.
About the RoleThis individual will be responsible for leading the Quality Control Department, maintaining the company's Quality Management System (QMS), managing a team of inspectors and CMM programmers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:- Lead day-to-day operations of the Quality Control department
- Manage and develop a team of quality inspectors and CMM programmers
- Maintain and improve AS9100 and NADCAP-compliant quality systems
- Lead customer, internal, and regulatory quality audits
- Facilitate MRB reviews and disposition of non-conforming products
- Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions utilizing 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and similar methodologies
- Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve processes and quality outcomes
- Develop inspection procedures, documentation, and training programs
- Track and report key quality metrics including scrap, rework, customer complaints, and PPM
- Support APQP activities and new product introductions
- Ensure proper implementation of SPC and continuous improvement initiatives
- 5+ years of Quality Management experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working within AS9100-certified environments
- Hands-on experience with Zeiss CMM equipment
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, SPC, FMEA, process validation, and quality systems
- Experience leading inspections, corrective actions, audits, and quality initiatives
- Proven people leadership experience managing technical teams
- Calypso programming experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S experience
