Accounting Manager (Contract) - Manufacturing Company | Milford, CT

A manufacturing company in Milford, CT is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who can oversee daily accounting operations, support month-end close, and help ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries

+ Manage month-end and year-end close processes

+ Prepare and review financial statements and internal reports

+ Monitor inventory, cost accounting, and manufacturing-related financial activity

+ Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

+ Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards

+ Supervise or support AP, AR, and payroll-related accounting functions as needed

+ Partner with leadership to provide financial insight and operational support

+ Assist with audit preparation and special projects
