St. Mary School, a Catholic elementary school in Milford, CT, has an opening for a part-time Spanish teacher for grades K-8 for the academic year. Classes meet once per week for a total of 8 hours per week. This position requires a dynamic teacher that can interact with and support the world language learning of Kindergarten-Grade 8 students in our school.

Requirements- Bachelor's degree required. World Language/ Spanish certification a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging, age-appropriate target language lessons.
- Commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and faith-based environment.
- Develop and implement daily lesson plans that address spiritual, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Use diverse instructional techniques such as modeling, observing, questioning, demonstrating, and reinforcing.
- Create age-appropriate lessons, utilizing the Archdiocese of Hartford curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
- Introduce the students to the associated culture, focusing on foundational skills like listening, speaking, and foundational reading and writing.
Develop and deliver engaging lessons to introduce young learners to a new language.
