Senior Engineer
Salary range: $115,000 - $125,000/year
We are partnering with an aerospace company to find a Senior Engineer to work onsite in Milford, CT. The Senior Engineer will lead engineering projects, drive product development initiatives, and support continuous improvement efforts. This role will work closely with cross‑functional teams and provide technical leadership to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, including design, development, testing, and validation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other departments to support product and process improvements.
- Design, develop, and evaluate new products and enhancements to existing products.
- Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and implement effective solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and procedures.
- Conduct product testing, technical evaluations, and quality reviews.
- Support cost-reduction, process improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Partner with engineering leadership on project planning, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives.
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience with demonstrated success leading complex projects.
- Strong experience with CAD software, engineering design tools, simulation software, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, materials, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Proven project management and technical leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with strong decision‑making and critical‑thinking skills.
- Experience working cross‑functionally with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams.
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field a plus
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or relevant industry certifications a plus
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization initiatives.
