Sr Engineer

Position Summary

The Senior Engineer is responsible for leading and executing engineering projects, contributing to product design, development, and improvement initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, advanced technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. The Senior Engineer will guide a team of engineers, support the VP of Engineering in strategic planning, and ensure that all projects meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements.

• Lead and oversee engineering projects from conception through implementation, ensuring that all design, development, and testing phases are completed to specifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain) to support product development and process optimization.
• Design, develop, and test new products or modifications to existing products, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Analyze data and troubleshoot results to develop solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, keeping projects on track for timely completion.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, including project reports, design specifications, and product manuals.
• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering on strategic planning, aligning engineering efforts with business objectives.
• Lead technical evaluations, product testing, and ensure adherence to quality control processes.
• Participate in cost‑reduction initiatives and process optimization projects.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to the VP of Engineering, highlighting milestones, challenges, and solutions.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance product performance and operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the engineering department and organizational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field). A Master’s degree or professional certifications is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering roles, with a proven track record of leading and executing complex projects.
• Strong proficiency in engineering software tools (CAD, CAM, simulation software, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of engineering principles, materials, processes, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Detail‑oriented with critical thinking and data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment and interact with various stakeholders.

• Work environment:
  Office and engineering lab environments with exposure to equipment, tools, and occasional noise.
• Physical demands:
  Primarily office‑based work; occasional inspection or testing of equipment on lab or manufacturing floor, may require light lifting and standing.
• Schedule:
  
  Full‑time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for extended hours or weekends as needed.
• Travel:
  Minimal travel for site visits or inter‑facility coordination.
