Job Summary

Provide excellent customer care to customers regarding daily transactions, address inquiries, resolve problems, and refer customers to appropriate business partners for products and services uncovered during business interactions. The role requires travel to various financial centers within the market and adherence to Fifth Third Bank policies and ethical standards.

• Promote a positive customer experience by consistently providing best‑in‑class service and applying key customer experience behaviors.
• Build rapport with the customer base and maintain knowledge of account ownership.
• Act with confidence to answer questions and find solutions to customer issues, ensuring timely correspondence.
• Maintain customer confidentiality and uphold the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Perform daily office responsibilities in collaboration with the platform team, maintaining efficient operation of the office.
• Maintain accurate balancing records, identify and correct outages, and seek assistance when needed.
• Keep updated on bank policies and financial center procedures, and stay current with any changes.
• Handle consumer and business customer problems with professionalism, escalating complex issues to leadership as necessary.
• Demonstrate sound judgment in decision‑making, abiding by established guidelines and procedures.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales referrals as set by management.
• Actively participate in daily huddles, sales meetings, and staff meetings.
• Maintain a well‑developed knowledge of the complete line of retail products and services offered.
• Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and effectively refer customers to business partners for bank products and services.
• Use appropriate tools for all referrals and track progress via dashboards to ensure proper disposition.
• Continuously increase knowledge and skills through self‑motivation, formal education, and in‑house training.

• Normal office environment with extended viewing of computer screens.
• Travel required.

• Advanced math functions for cash handling.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to initiate dialogue and maintain confidence in public interactions.
• In‑depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures; minimum of 2 years of CSR experience.
• Initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, and problem‑resolution skills.
• Team player with positive interpersonal skills.
• Flexible scheduling.
• SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through NMLS.
