Warehouse Manager

The ideal candidate will provide direct support, supervision, and coordination to the warehouse & moving crews to ensure the overall success of the operation.

Responsibilities Manage warehouse and moving crews by training, setting expectations, monitoring performance, providing feedback, development and progressive discipline

Manage and control condition and security of inventory including proper storage, handling, disposal, transfer, cleaning and repair

Inspects physical condition of warehouse and inventory

Manage warehouse organization and special projects

Manage productivity and performance of each team member

Ensure cleanliness, maintenance and security of the warehouse

Ensure that safety standards are adhered to in all areas of the warehouse

Provide necessary training on basic furniture handling, furniture repair, installation procedures and safety (OSHA, DOT, and safety meetings)
Schedules jobs with sales and clients

Work with the Director of Operations to control labor, inventory, and supply costs

Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by following company policies and procedures; enforce adherence to requirements by reporting as appropriate; advising management on needed actions

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training as required

Provide consistent top-level customer service

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Fleet management and DOT regulations experience a mustA minimum of 5 years' of experience managing a warehouse

Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of personnel and clients

Must have a proven service oriented attitude

Must be organized and detailed

Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment

Must be able to work independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel and Word)
