Thermal Spray Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Near Stratford, CT

Join my client as a Thermal Spray Technician
, where you’ll play a critical role in applying high-performance coatings used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. In this hands‑on manufacturing role, you’ll operate thermal spray equipment and ensure coatings meet strict quality and customer specifications.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with advanced coating technologies, precision processes, and production equipment in a high-spec manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Operate thermal spray equipment such as plasma spray, HVOF, arc spray, or flame spray systems.
  • Prepare components for coating, including masking, grit blasting, and surface preparation.
  • Apply coatings according to engineering specifications and process instructions.
  • Inspect coated parts for thickness, adhesion, and visual quality.
  • Maintain proper documentation of production processes and quality checks.
  • Support process improvements and troubleshooting when coating issues arise.
  • Follow strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including AS9100 and NADCAP environments.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations.
About You
  • Experience working in thermal spray, coatings, or surface treatment environments.
  • Familiarity with HVOF, plasma spray, arc spray, or similar coating technologies is a strong plus.
  • Ability to read and follow technical specifications and process documentation.
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
