Talon Precision is seeking experienced CNC Setup Machinists to support immediate production demands at our Milford, Connecticut facility. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled machinists looking for a high-paying contract assignment with overtime and per diem available.

You’ll be supporting the production of precision-machined components serving demanding industries where quality and consistency matter.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Perform complete machine setups on CNC mills and lathes
  • Load and verify tooling, fixtures, and work holding
  • Set offsets and make machine adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot machining and setup issues independently
  • Read and interpret blueprints and process documentation
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
  • Maintain production quality while meeting delivery schedules
  • Support both short-run and production machining operations

This position is ideal for machinists who can work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Yasnac (Fanuc-Based)
  • Okuma OSP
Additional Capabilities

  • Aluminum

What We’re Looking For Required
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Strong CNC setup experience on mills or lathes
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot machining issues
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Strong understanding of tooling, offsets, and work holding
Preferred
  • Fanuc experience
  • Okuma experience
  • Multi-axis machining experience
  • Aerospace, Defense, or Medical manufacturing experience
