Value Stream Supervisor, Precision Manufacturing Picture your morning: you scan the production board, reshuffle staffing to hit a rush order, and walk the floor to open a safe, organized shift. By mid-day, you’re coaching an operator through a new setup, partnering with Quality on a containment, and coordinating with Maintenance to lock in preventative work on a critical press. Before you leave, you review KPIs, recognize wins, and tee up tomorrow’s improvements.

If that sounds like your ideal day, you’ll thrive leading the production team t you’ll do Direct daily activities across the line/cell to consistently meet targets for safety, quality, delivery, and output.

Interpret the schedule and rebalance workflow and staffing to satisfy customer commitments.

Coach, train, and develop team members; foster cross-training to build flexibility and safety-minded proficiency.

Hold the line on standards—company safety rules, quality requirements, and documented procedures.

Track production performance (throughput, downtime, efficiency) and drive corrective actions.

Troubleshoot equipment, material, tooling, and process issues; escalate and resolve quickly.

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other functions to remove obstacles and improve flow.

Champion preventive maintenance to maximize equipment availability.

Lead Lean/5S initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the area.

Keep the workplace clean, orderly, and safe.

Conduct performance reviews and provide regular, actionable feedback.

Step in on related tasks as needed to support the operation.

What you bring5+ years in manufacturing with proven supervisory/lead experience.

Influential leadership with clear communication, organization, and talent development strengths.

Hands-on knowledge of production machinery and processes; background with press operations is a plus.

Mechanical savvy with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

Ability to interpret drawings/prints, travelers, and work instructions.

Working knowledge of Lean methods, 5S, and continuous improvement.

Comfort with manufacturing systems and production tracking (ERP/MRP or similar).Skill at juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced plant environment.

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and relevant experience.

Physical demands

Frequent movement on the production floor: walking, standing, and bending for extended periods.

Occasional lifting and handling of items up to 50 lbs.

Regular exposure to plant conditions (noise, heat/cold, dust, moving mechanical parts).
