CNC Mill Setup and Process Technician, Rod-Form Components

Join a team focused on precision, continuous improvement, and safe operations. In this temp-to-perm, second-shift role, you will turn prints into production-ready CNC mill setups that consistently hold tolerance and hit schedule.

Core impact

Translate blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T into efficient CNC mill setups for rod-formed parts.

Run, monitor, and adjust programs to keep dimensions in spec and cycle times optimized.

Conduct in-process inspections with micrometers, calipers, and gauges; document results.

Perform routine maintenance and resolve machine issues to reduce downtime.

Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to refine tooling, offsets, and methods.

Maintain accurate setup sheets, machine parameters, and quality records.

Uphold safety practices and support training of fellow operators.

Qualifications to succeed2+ years operating CNC milling machines; rod-forming or precision machining background preferred.

Proficient in reading drawings and applying GD&T.Mechanical problem-solver with attention to detail.

Comfortable using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).Knowledge of CNC programming and G-code is a plus.

Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced shop.

Workstyle and logistics

Factory setting; frequent interaction with production and warehouse teams.

Physical demands include regular walking, twisting, standing, bending, squatting, and lifting 50 lbs. or higher.

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday–Friday; flexibility for extended hours. Second shift, temp-to-perm path.

Travel:
Occasional supplier visits, conferences, and inter-facility coordination.
