Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Position Overview

We are seeking an attentive and knowledgeable Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist in ensuring the nursing department provides attentive and efficient care to patients while overseeing the overall operations of our skilled nursing facility.

• Maintain nursing home standards.
• Assist in hiring, training, teaching, and monitoring nursing staff.
• Ensure smooth operation of the nursing department.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management.
• Inform management of staff concerns.
• Assist in training and supervising nursing staff.
• Inspect patient records.

• Active RN license.
• Active CPR certification.
• Proven experience as Charge RN in SNF.
• Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare.
• Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration.
• Excellent leadership and personnel development skills.
