American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring Level II Trauma Center experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Short term acute care hospital with Level II Trauma Center designation
• Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, )
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required (1.5 years considered for Level I Trauma or travel experience)
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and cardiac monitoring required
• Central line care/management and IV starting/maintenance skills required
• Experience with IV vasopressors required
• CPAP/BiPAP management and care of ventilated patients required
• Isolation precautions/PPE and triage experience required
• 1 professional reference required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious/medical exemptions only

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the hospital
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
