- Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit
- Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning
- Perform discharge planning
- Provide patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization
- Access community resources
- Oversee dialysis treatments for patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- May perform Charge Nurse duties
- RN License in the state you are applying
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment
- ACLS certification is required from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU
- Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is preferred but not required
- Dialysis nursing experience/knowledge caring for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure implied by the role responsibilities
Demonstrates expertise in patient care coordination, including discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration, while providing specialized nursing care for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure. Holds essential certifications and licenses to ensure high-quality nursing practices.
