American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center with combined adult/pediatric emergency care, requiring a CT or compact RN license and TNCC certification.
Requirements- Active CT or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Experience managing dysrhythmias required
- Central line care and management skills required
- Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
- Experience administering IV vasopressors required
- Respiratory skills required, including CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patient care
- Experience with isolation precautions and triage required
- Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating required as needed
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Level II Trauma Center setting
- Provide emergency nursing care across a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Facility is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Free parking available on site
- Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required, with religious or medical exemptions only
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Returning perm staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
- RTO of up to 7 days can be auto-approved
- Candidates residing within a 75-mile radius are not eligible unless local rate is accepted
