EHS Specialist TB

A leading waste management company is searching for an EHS Specialist to join their team in the Milford, CT area. This is an exciting opportunity with up to 50% local travel, suited to self-starting, motivated EHS professionals who are looking to continue growing and developing their career.

The Role:

• Deliver EHS training, onboarding, and employee development program
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews across multiple facilities
• Support environmental programs including air, water, and waste compliance
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Coordinate emergency response activities and safety initiatives
• Maintain compliance records, reports, and EHS management systems
• Partner with site leadership to strengthen safety performance and regulatory compliance
• Travel regularly to sites in the area to provide on-site support and coaching

What we’re looking for:

• BSc in EHS, environmental science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1-2 years of environmental compliance and safety program management
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, OSHA compliance, and safety best practices
• Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and build relationships across multiple sites
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Willingness to travel throughout the local region
