About the Role

Are you a Quality leader who thrives in high-precision environments? Do you enjoy owning compliance from the high-level paperwork down to the actual parts on the floor?

We are working with a premier, AS9100-certified precision manufacturer in Milford, Connecticut, producing high tolerance components for critical industries like aerospace, defense, and semiconductor. We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead their Quality Department, champion their certification efforts and maintain the rigorous standards their clients rely on.

This isn't just a desk job, it's an opportunity to fully own a QMS, lead a talented team and remain hands-on when it counts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and manage the Quality Department team.
  • Compliance &

    Certifications:

    Drive and maintain our AS9100 certification, manage internal/external audits, and oversee all quality paperwork and documentation.
  • QMS Management:
    Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System to ensure peak operational compliance.
  • Hands-on Inspection:
    Stay close to the manufacturing process by stepping in to inspect complex, high-tolerance parts when required.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Partner with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot quality issues, implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and minimize scrap.
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong background in quality management within a precision machining/manufacturing environment.
  • Deep knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 standards, with a proven track record of leading successful certification efforts and audits.
  • Proven leadership experience managing a quality team.
  • Competency in mechanical inspection-comfortable using manual instruments and digital inspection equipment to verify high-tolerance parts.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with defense, aerospace, and semiconductor clients.
