Your Role, Your Impact

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) is responsible for assisting the general manager with the management of day‑to‑day operations of the store, while adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The Assistant Store Manager works at a regional retail outlet that provides integrated fuel, convenience and auto‑service solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the general manager with day‑to‑day store operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Partner policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and customer‑friendly environment.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non‑exempt employees.
  • Handle cash, inventory, and accounting paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Manage bank deposits, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties.
  • Coordinate gasoline deliveries, maintain fuel levels, and perform safety inspections.
  • Engage in company promotional initiatives and customer service excellence.

Gauges of Responsibility
  • Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and discipline non‑exempt employees, holding them accountable for operational standards.
  • Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; assist in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less and inventory variations of 0.5% of sales or less.
  • Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets, and meet prescribed documentation requirements.
  • Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, adhering to cash‑control policies.
  • Manage cash management procedures, including bank deposits and change orders.
  • Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards according to store image standards.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Ensure store security and safety; comply with safety and environmental guidelines and report issues to the proper authority.
  • Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate deliveries.
  • Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
  • Promote a high level of guest service.
  • Perform duties as required by company policies and the Handbook.

Qualifications (Role Requirements)
  • Available to work flexible hours including day, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • 1‑2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outside, cooler, etc.).
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs during a shift.
